Index Research International (INREIN) calculates publication impact factor (PIF) of a journal.
Publication Impact Factor (PIF) reflects quality of a journal based on various parameters like citation of research article published in journal, research quality of article published, indexing and abstracting of journal, editorial quality, consistency of publication and technical quality of publication.
Selection Criteria
• The journal/serial publication should have a valid ISSN (Online/Print).
• At least one issue published with 5-6 articles.
Evaluation Methodology
Publication Impact Factor (PIF) is calculated on yearly basis based on various parameters.
These parameters are considered while calculating PIF of a journal.

• Publishing Quality: 20%
• Technical/Presentation Quality: 20%
• Editorial Quality: 10%
• International Availability: 10%

Details of Parameters
Scientific Quality
• Citation Count: Total number of articles cited for the respective year of publication.
• Originality of Article: Originality reflects original or genuine research work of researchers having original research with new ideas/innovative approaches without any plagiarism issue. It includes strict plagiarism policy of journal.
• Annual Percentage of Original Research Article: Original research article is that which publishes results of an investigation and divided in various sections like Introduction/Background, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References.
Publishing Quality
• Uniform Format: Uniformity of text, font size, page layout (margins, page size).
• Grammar and Spelling: Use of correct grammar and spelling.
• Links/Hyperlinks: Insertion of links/hyperlinks.
• Tables/Figures/Graphs: Inclusion of original tables/figures/graphs with appropriate legend and number.
• References: Inclusion of correct and complete references should follow any of citation style.
Technical/Presentation Quality
• Format of Article: Different formats of article e.g. HTML, PDF etc. Display of Abstract, PDF full text, HTML, DOI etc. Inclusion of functional links/hyperlinks.
• Journal Website: Easily accessible website of journal enriched with functional links/hyperlinks at appropriate place. Availability of download option of important files/documents.
• Governing Body: Display of governing or managing body, affiliation details, university/institution, publisher, editorial team, reviewer team etc.
• Cover Page: Title of journal, ISSN, Volume, Issue, Publication Month/Year. Publisher.
• Structure of Article: Standard structure of paper as stated in Authors’ Guidelines (Abstract, Keywords, Introduction/Background, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References)
• Consistency of Publication: Journal should publish regular issues as per frequency stated. Irregular publication leads to lower score.
Editorial Quality
• Editorial and Reviewer Board: Display of detailed information of editorial and reviewer board.
• Editorial Policy: Well-defined editorial policy.
• Guidelines for Authors: Detailed instructions for authors about preparation and submission of manuscript.
• Publication Ethics: Information regarding plagiarism issue and relevant details.
• Copyright Policy: Display of copyright policy of journal/publisher.
• Language of Publication: English is preferred language.
• Contact Details: Details of editor/publisher.
International Availability
• Indexing/Abstracting: International presence of journal in various indexing agencies, directories, databases etc.
• Internet Availability: Availability of journal’s contents on internet. Presence of journal in various search engines.
